Obituary for Sybil B. Faulkenberry
Sybil Baskin Faulkenberry, 92, of Heath Springs, S.C., passed away, Wednesday, June 23, 2021, in Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia, S.C. Born in Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Minton Amos Baskin and Effie Lillian Hinson Baskin. She was a homemaker after retiring from Springs Industries. Mrs. Faulkenberry was a faithful member of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church. She loved the outdoors, especially working in her flowers and tending to her garden.
She is survived by her 3 grandchildren, Hope Faulkenberry Rollings and her husband, Scott, Kimberly Faulkenberry Kennington and her husband, Brock and Scott Thomas Faulkenberry and his wife, Dawn: 6 grandchildren, Tripp, Kipp, Trey, Rocky, Austin, Wyatt and Isabel and a daughter-in-law, Carol Ann Faulkenberry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alston Faulkenberry; 2 sons, Thomas Alston Faulkenberry and Richard Baskin “Peanut” Faulkenberry; 2 grandchildren, Heather Faulkenberry and Tripp Faulkenberry; her brother, David Baskin and 3 sisters, Judie McManus, Rachel Carter and Robbie Outen.
Mrs. Faulkenberry’s funeral service will be conducted in the sanctuary of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church, Kershaw, S.C., Friday, June 25, 2021, at 11:00 o’clock a.m. The Revs. Todd Montgomery, Thurmond Johnson and Mr. Trey Rollings will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends immediately following the burial at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Plain Baptist Church, 3795 Pleasant Plains Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
