Martha Marshall Stover

Martha Marshall Stover, 84, of Heath Springs, SC, passed away Friday morning, November 6, 2026, at White Oak Manor in Lancaster, SC.

Born in Pleasant Hill Township of Lancaster County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Marshall and Thelma Marshall.

Martha was an AVON representative for more than 40 years and a devoted homemaker. Family was the center of her world, and she never missed an opportunity to be present and involved in the lives of those she loved. Whether attending family activities or gathering everyone around the table, Martha made sure her family always knew how much they meant to her.

She was an excellent cook and especially enjoyed preparing meals for her family and others. Her love of cooking extended to her church, where she could often be found serving in the kitchen and helping prepare meals for Vacation Bible School and other church activities. She found great joy in serving others.

Martha was also a loyal Yankees fan who supported her team wholeheartedly. Friends and family knew better than to call between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m., as that was her dedicated time to enjoy her favorite game shows, Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune.

Martha leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and cherished memories with her loving husband of 66 years, Charles Milton Stover; her children, Charles Stover and his wife, Carlette; Clarence Stover and his wife, Renee; Darleen Hatherly and her husband, Kirk; and Derrell Stover and his wife, Susan; her beloved grandchildren, Tyler (Haley), Dillon (Angel), Nicholas (Haley), Daniel (Erica), Rebekah (Noah), Seth, Leah, and Sullivan; her great-grandchildren, Addy, Colsen, and Brennan; and her brothers, Butch (Carol) Marshall and Terry (Sylvia) Marshall.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her siblings, J.C. Marshall (Edith), Stanley Marshall (Peggy), and Etta Ruth Arant (Ted).

A celebration of life memorial service will be held Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Heath Springs Baptist Church in Heath Springs, SC. The Rev. Dr. Frankie Melton will officiate.

The family will greet friends on the front lawn of the church following the service.
