Obituary for Perry Rowell Hendrix
Funeral services for Perry Rowell Hendrix, 93 of Kershaw will be held at 11:00 o’clock a.m., Monday, May 14, from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Burial will follow the Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Bill Truesdale will officiate.
Mr. Hendrix, loving husband of the late Iva Lee Williams Hendrix died Wednesday, May 9, at his home. Born in Kershaw, he was a son of the late James “Jim” Hendrix and Mary Rowell Hendrix. He retired from DuPont Co. Mr. Hendrix was a member of First Baptist Church and a World War II Army veteran. He also enjoyed watching television, especially westerns and spending time with his family and late wife.
Surviving are 3 children, Dennis R. Hendrix and his wife Nancy “Nan” of Kershaw, Wendell L. Hendrix of Lake Wylie and Pam Welch of Kershaw; five grandchildren and one great grandson. He was predeceased in addition to his parents and wife by a great granddaughter.
The family will receive friends, Monday, May 14, following the burial in the cemetery.
