Obituary for Nita O. Horton
Nita Oliver Horton, 79, of Bethune, S.C., passed away, Wednesday morning, December 1, 2021, at her home. Born in Jefferson, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Clyde Oliver and Thelma Johnson Oliver. She was a retired cosmetologist and a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She loved to shop and enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Jackie Horton; her daughter, Angie O. (David) Sanders; 2 grandchildren, Travis (Tiffany) Sanders and Chase (Torrie) Sanders; 3 great grandchildren, Brittain Sanders, Chloe Sanders and Millie Sanders and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death a sister, Peggy O. Lynn and 5 brothers, Leroy “Bud” Oliver, Alfred “Buster” Oliver, Larry “Gene” Oliver, Jimmy Oliver and Donnie Oliver.
The family is receiving friends anytime at the home.
A graveside service will be held Saturday afternoon, December 4, 2021, at 2:00 o’clock p.m. in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery, Jefferson, S.C. Pastor David Sanders and Rev. Dr. Clay Shook will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
