Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Pittman
A memorial service for Mary Elizabeth Railey Pittman, 74, of Camden, S.C., will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2017, in the sanctuary of DeKalb Baptist Church. Rev. Keith Coates will officiate.
Mrs. Pittman died Sunday, December 10, 2017, at KershawHealth, Camden, S.C. Born in Lockhart, S.C., she was a daughter of the late James Blair Railey and Nora Lee Honeycutt Railey. Mrs. Pittman was a retired home healthcare nurse and a member of DeKalb Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling and loved her dog, “Bella”.
Surviving are her loving husband of 36 years, C.H. “Duke” Pittman of the home; her daughter, Wendy R. Sellers and her husband Kim of Lancaster, S.C.; a step-daughter, Debbie Pittman of Lancaster, S.C.; a step-son, Michael Pittman of Virginia; 3 grandchildren, Dillon Sellers, Blair Cearley and Hailey Cearley; a number of step grandchildren and 2 sisters, Brenda Lee Railey of Clinton, S.C. and Phyllis Elaine Fowler of Lancaster, S.C. She was preceded in death by her son, Stacy D. Cearley.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, December 13, 2017, prior to the service beginning at 2:00 o’clock p.m. in the church Fellowship Hall and other times at the home.
