Obituary for Ralph Lucas
A funeral service for Ralph Lucas, 84, of Great Falls, SC, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Friday, June 9, 2017, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel, Kershaw. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Thurmond Johnson will officiate.
Mr. Lucas died Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Born in Kershaw, SC, he was a son of the late John and Mary Baker Lucas. He retired from Duke Energy and was of Baptist faith. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening and fishing. Mr. Lucas served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Annette Parker Lucas of the home, 3 sons, Mike Lucas of Seneca, SC, Bruce (Lisa) Lucas of Rock Hill, SC, Jeff (Anjie) Lucas of Fort Lawn, SC; 6 grandchildren, Amber Lucas, Brandy Lucas, Joshua Ranson, Madison Lucas, Jeffrey Lucas and Kendall Lucas and he was loved dearly by his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ben Lucas and 4 sisters, Lucile Lucas, Ruby Clark, Iva Lee Kennington and Annie Thomasson.
The family will receive friends, Friday, June 9, 2017, from 2:00 to 3:00 o’clock p.m. prior to the service at Baker Funeral Home.
