Obituary for Perry Junior Bowers
Funeral services for Perry Junior Bowers, 80, of Cassatt, will be held at 11:00 o’clock a.m., Wednesday, October 4, in the sanctuary of Providence Baptist Church, Kershaw. Rev. Todd Gandy will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Bowers died Sunday, October 1, at his home. Born in Kershaw, he was a son of William Perry and Lula Elizabeth Peach Bowers. He was a carpenter and a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church. Mr. Bowers loved to hunt, fish and farm.

Surviving are his wife, Rhodie Privette Bowers of the home; his son, John Bowers and his wife Sonja of Cassatt; 3 granddaughters, Brittany B. Garris and her husband Andrew, Hollie Bowers and Tessa Bowers; 1 grandson, John Joseph Bowers; 3 step-daughters, Willa Mae Banks, Elizabeth Louise Anderson and Barbara Jean Elmore and their children. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by a daughter, Brenda Bowers.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, October 3, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw.
