Obituary for Marilyn C. Rice
Marilyn Cardwell Rice, 61, of Kershaw, passed away, Thursday, December 10, 2020, at her home. Born in Orlando, FL, she was a daughter of the late Huey Ray Cardwell and Mary Frances Barton Thorn. She was a former employee of Rico Tag Co., Heath Springs, SC. She loved working in her flower gardens. She was especially fond of roses. Marilyn was an Alabama fan and loved NASCAR. She also loved her mustang.
Surviving are husband of 32 years, William Harvey Rice of the home; 2 daughters, Cher Rawls Bell and her husband, Chuck of Kershaw, Priscilla Lusk of Milton, FL; 5 grandchildren, A.J. Bell, Rhiana Bell, Kailyn Bell, JD Lusk and Zoey Lusk; 8 siblings, Billy Ray (Loretta) Cardwell, Jimmy Cardwell, Kenneth Cardwell, Carolyn Hendrix, Kitty (Buster) Jordan, Eugene (Brenda) Cardwell, Clay (Tracie) Cardwell and Ernie (Kim) Cardwell and a sister-in-law, Annette Cardwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Cardwell.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 13, at 3:00 pm in Potters House Baptist Church, 7393 Croxton Road, Kershaw, S.C. with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Abby Wheeler will officiate.
Donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
