Obituary for Macie Lee Baker
Funeral services for Macie Lee Phillips Baker, 89, of Kershaw, S.C., will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2016, in the sanctuary of Center Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Mackey will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
Mrs. Baker, loving wife of the late Walter Wade Baker died Tuesday evening, November 29, at Heath Springs Residential Care, Heath Springs, S.C. Born in Kershaw, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Lonnie and Alice Idell Johnson Phillips. Mrs. Baker retired twice, first from Springs Industries and second from Duracell. She was a faithful member of Center Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are 2 sons, Ronald B. Baker of Melbourne, Australia, W. Cecil Baker and his wife Sandra of Lancaster, S.C.; a daughter, Carol Ann Faulkenberry and her husband Bruce of Kershaw; 7 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Joe E. Phillips and his wife Sadie, Olin D. Phillips; 3 sisters, Margie P. Whitley, Betty Bradley and her husband Earl and Alice P. Roberts all of Kershaw. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Marlene Baker; 2 sisters, Dessie Phillips, Louise Smith and 4 brothers, Heyward Phillips, Thomas Phillips, Gilbert Phillips and Ed Phillips.
The family will receive friends, Thursday evening, December 1, 2016, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home, 687 Phillipstown Rd., Kershaw, S.C.
