Wilson Jessie Payne, Jr.

Wilson Jessie Payne, Jr., age 68 of Kershaw, S.C, passed away Monday morning, May 5, 2025. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was the son of the late Wilson Jessie Payne, Sr., and Marion Russell Payne. He was employed by Springs Industries, DuPont Co. and Westinghouse. He was of Baptist faith. He loved motorcycles, traveling to the beach and his dogs.

He is survived by 3 children, Joshua Payne (Darby), Amanda Payne (Daniel) and Jacob Payne; his former wife, Alice Mattox and her husband, Tim and his sister-in-law, Lisa Payne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Payne.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, morning, May 17, 2025, in Kershaw City Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service in the cemetery.
