Willie James Tolbert, Jr.

Willie James Tolbert, Jr., age 78 of Florence, S.C., formerly of Great Falls, S.C. passed away, Sunday evening, August 2, 2026, in McLeod Hospice House, Florence, S.C. Born in Camden, S.C. he was a son of the late Willie James Tolbert, Sr. and Mildred Ann Knight Tolbert. He was a former supervisor in the construction industry.

He is survived by his children, Bill, Kirby, Donnie, Kristen and Jeffery; several grandchildren; 2 brothers, Gene (Jeanie) Tolbert and Steve (Lynn) Tolbert, both of Kershaw, S.C.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Thomas J. Tolbert and Lee Reid Tolbert and 2 sisters, Trudy Jane Tolbert and Linda Sue Tolbert.

A celebration of life service will be held later.
