Willene Mcateer Bowers

Graveside services for Mary Willene McAteer Bowers, 74, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 2, 2011 in Kershaw City Cemetery. Rev. Chadwick Ivester will officiate.

Mrs. Bowers, widow of Raymond Otis Bowers, died Monday evening at her home. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Brennie Rollings Love. She was retired from Springs Industries and a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughter; Tammy Whitley and her husband Johnny of Kershaw and 2 sisters; Lib Wallace and Faye Coates both of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by her grandson; Johnathan Whitley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sand Hill Baptist Church, 6895 Highway 341, Kershaw, S.C. 29067 or Hospice Care of S.C., 412 N. White Street, Lancaster, S.C. 29720.

The family is receiving friends at the home, 6570 Bowers Lane, Kershaw.
