Wayne Paul Turner

Wayne Paul Turner, age 78 of Rock Hill, S.C. passed away, Monday, February 2, 2026, at his home. He was born in Rock Hill,S.C. on June 12, 1947. He was the son of the late James D. Tuner and Lillie Mae Blanton Turner. Mr. Turner was an employee of General Tire for 36 years. 

Wayne enjoyed the outdoors. He also loved to spend time on his boat, hunt and fish. He cherished the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his son, Garrett Turner of Rock Hill, S.C.; his brother, Bobby D. Henderson and his wife, Elaine of Rock Hill, S.C. ; his sister, Peggy Tyre and her husband, Eb of Lancaster, S.C.; two grandchildren, seven nieces and four nephews. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Wayne Paul Turner Jr. and Michael James Turner and two sisters, Christine Johnson and Carolyn Godbee.

A memorial service to remember his life will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026,  at 1:00  p.m. from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton Street, Kershaw, S.C. Pastor Frank Jordan will officiate.
