Wade T. Wright

Wade Thomas Wright, 80, of Heath Springs, passed away, Monday evening, April 27, 2020, at MUSC Health – Lancaster. Born in Jefferson, he was a son of the late Dwight Thomas Wright and Levy Watts Wright. Mr. Wright retired from Springs Industries after 43 years of service. He was a member of Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church. He loved to sing, fish and play softball in his younger years.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 30, at 2:00 o’clock p.m. in Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday prior to the service beginning at 1:00 o’clock p.m. Rev. George Brasington will officiate.

Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Susie Boone Wright of the home; 2 daughters, Carolyn Sue Wright of the home, Joyce Wright Watkins and her husband Charles of Jefferson; special children, Glenda Hodge, Debbie Plyler, Kathy Hyatt and Rickey Freeman; five grandchildren, Shana Watkins Adams and her husband Leroy, Justin Watkins and his wife Kim, Cassidy Watkins, Ashley Lowery and Gage Watkins; three great grandchildren, Ryder Watkins, Keely Catoe and Savannah Catoe and a sister, Mary Melton of Jefferson.
