Tony Hazel Sims, age 61, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away Thursday morning, August 14, 2025, at MUSC Kershaw Health Medical Center, Camden, S.C. Born in Lancaster, S.C. he was the son of the late Hazel Hade Sims and Nancy Louise Ellis Sims. Mr. Sims was formerly employed in the HVAC industry. He was a member of Open Arms Baptist Church. He enjoyed working, cutting grass and staying busy. He also was a practical jokester.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Angeline Dianne Hilliard Sims; 2 sons, Malcom Williamson and Tony Christopher Sims; his daughter, Alicyn Samantha (Trey Barjona) Sims; 16 grandchildren, 1 great grandson; his brother, Paul Douglas Sims; 2 sisters, Bobbie Jo McInvaille and Karen Amanda (Clifford) Mosely and several nieces and nephews he raised like his own. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Dyan Martin; his grandson, Ares Ryan Martin and 2 sisters, Donna Ann Lytle and Patty Faye Belk.
The family will greet friends on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Frontline Biker Church, 7728 Highway 341, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
Mr. Sims’ funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. in the church. Pastor Scott Moseley will officiate. The burial will follow in the Open Arms Baptist Church Cemetery, 5401 Lockhart Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
Memorial remembrances may be made to the American Stroke Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
