Thomas Nick “Tommy” Hopkins, 60, of Bethune, S.C., passed away Saturday morning, February 14, 2026, at MUSC Columbia Medical Center Downtown in Columbia, S.C.

Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was the son of Judy Odell Hopkins and the late Nick Hopkins. Tommy worked as a haul truck driver and attended Frontline Biker Church. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid South Carolina Gamecock football fan.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Christy Brown Hopkins; his children, Ashley Taylor, Rachel Payne, Nicholas Hopkins, Brittney Ellisor, James Ellisor, and C. Tommy Boone; 11 grandchildren, with one more on the way; his two brothers, Kenneth Hopkins and Edward Mosley; and two special children, Bryson Dunn and Rylee Abbs, whom he lovingly referred to as “our littles.” He is also survived by his goddaughters, the Carlson girls, and his god babies.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Olivia Hopkins, and his brother, Richard Hopkins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kershaw County Humane Society, 128 Black River Road, Camden, S.C. 29020.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date and announced by the family.

Baker Funeral Home of Kershaw, S.C., is assisting the Hopkins family.
