Steven Wayne Hunter

A service to celebrate the life of Steven Wayne "Pee Wee" Hunter, 60, of Kershaw, SC, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 9, 2016, in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Humphries will officiate.

Mr. Hunter passed away Tuesday, December 6, from injuries sustained in a house fire. Born in Camden, SC, he was a son of the late George and Sarah Elizabeth Hunter. He was a carpenter. Mr. Hunter also loved to listen to music and play his guitar.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Sherry Railey Hunter; 2 daughters, Stephanie H. (Shane) Brewer of Kershaw, SC, Stevi (Marlo) Hunter of Kershaw; a son, Benji W. Hunter (Lila) of Andalusia, AL; 5 grandchildren, Brooke, Carly, Abby, Kristin and Marissa; a sister, Susan H. (Ronnie) Truesdale of Westville, SC and 2 brothers, Dennis Hunter and Ronnie H. (Theresa) all of Kershaw, SC.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 9, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of his daughter, 436 Sunshine Lane, Kershaw.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the family c/o of Sherry Hunter, 436 Sunshine Lane, Kershaw, SC 29067, due to the loss of their home from the fire.
