Steven Robert Law

Steven Robert Law, 67, of Lancaster, SC, passed away on June 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at his home.

Steve was born March 11, 1959, in Fostoria, OH, the son of Robert "Bob" Law and Marilyn Maddox Blume.

He married Marcy Anna McKa (64) on January 31, 1981. They met one summer when visiting his mother in California and after returning home to Ohio, they continued writing letters to one another over the next three years. They celebrate 45 years of marriage and two children, daughter Julie Law (44) and son Justin Law (41).

Steve worked for Southeastern Carpenters for over 25 years before retiring in 2021. He was part of the Vogtle Nuclear Power Plant Project in Georgia, helping create America’s first new Nuclear Reactors in over 30 years.

Steve was a “main character” kind of guy and was the light in every room he entered. He was a jokester at heart and always had a smile, laugh, and story to share. He loved to hunt and fish, spending weekends camping and riding motorcycles with his wife. He cared deeply for his family and worked very hard to provide for their health and happiness. He had a sincerely kind and loving heart.

Remaining to cherish Steve’s memory are spouse, Marcy McKa Law; children, daughter Julie Law and daughter-in-law Kelly Cap; son Justin Law and daughter-in-law Jessica Piippo Law.
