Stephen Eugene Hargett

Stephen Eugene Hargett, age 50, of Lancaster, S.C., passed away, Sunday, June 29, 2025, from injuries sustained from an accident. Born in Lancaster, S.C. he was a son of Virginia Diane Catoe Faile and the late Billy Ray Hargett. He was an electrician. Stephen enjoyed playing the harmonica, riding his Harley and singing Karaoke.

He is survived in addition to his mother of Lancaster, S.C. by his wife, Sharon Sims Hargett; his daughter, Katelyn Ivey Hargett (Nick) Holland; his brother, Clint (Leanne Wilson) Hargett; 2 stepchildren, Christina Glover and Tyler Glover; 3 step grandchildren, Travis Bledsoe, Aubrey Bledsoe and Tristan Bledsoe, several nieces and nephews and special friend, Donald T. West.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Scottie Ray Hargett; his maternal grandparents, Marcine Watts Catoe and James Ferris Catoe and his paternal grandparents, Evelyn Pressley Hargett and Winford C. Hargett.

A gathering to remember his life will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton Steet, Kershaw, S.C.
