Sara Frances Faulkenberry Rowell

Graveside funeral services for Sara Frances Faulkeberry Rowell, 88, will be held Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in Hanging Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Hope Avins will officiate. Mrs. Rowell, widow of Harvey Granson Rowell, died Tuesday, April 9, in Lancaster Convalescent Center. Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Luther Ferris and Minnie Lee Ogburn Faulkenberry. Mrs. Rowell was a homemaker and a member of Hanging Rock United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Marlene Carnes (Ray) of Heath Springs; 5 grandchildren; a number of great grandchilden; sister, Betty Nick of Columbia; and brother, Charles Emerson Faulkenberry of New Bern, N.C. She was predeceased by a son, William Granson Rowell; sister, Ernestine Reeves, brothers, Vernon, Howard Lee, Ferris, Jr. and Ed Faulkenberry.
