Samuel David Hargett

The family will hold memorial services for Samuel David Hargett, 60, of Kershaw, Sunday, January 29, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. from Oakridge Baptist Church. Rev. Dale Myers and Mr. Michael Morrison will officiate. The family is at home at 3292 Love Road, Kershaw. Mr. Hargett died Wednesday, January 25, at his home. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Pearlie Mae Jordan Steen and the late Lloyd S. Hargett. Mr. Hargett was formerly employed with J.P. Stevens. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving in addition to his mother, Pearlie M. Steen of Kershaw, are his son, David Lloyd “Davie” Hargett of Jefferson; sisters, S. Diane Hayes of Chester, and Helen Howard of Maggie Valley, N.C.; brother, Dennis Hargett of Kershaw; granddaughter, Misty; and half brothers and sisters. Baker Funeral Home is assisting the Hargett family.
