Rosie Jackson Lucas

Rosie Jackson Lucas, age 83, of Jefferson, S.C. passed away, Sunday evening, July 20, 2025, at The Legacy of Hartsville, where she was a resident. She was born in Chesterfield County on July 30, 1941, to the late William Jackson and Annie Mae Griggs Jackson. Mrs. Lucas was a former secretary. She was a faithful member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed decorating, cooking and arranging flowers. Christmas was her favorite time of the year.

She is survived by her brother, William Thomas Jackson, Jr.; 3 nieces, Faye Jackson Jessup, Debbie Jackson Watson and Kim Jackson Isgett and a nephew, Derek Jackson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Bobby Elvin Lucas in 2022 and 2 brothers, Avery Jackson and Roy T. Jackson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton Street, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.

Mrs. Jacksons funeral service will be held on Wednesday afternoon immediately following the visitation at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, Rev. Bart Miles will officiate. The burial will follow in the Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
