Ronald William Damrell

Ronald William Damrell, 74, of Kershaw, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday morning, February 6, 2026.

Born July 20, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the beloved son of the late William Damrell and Rosena Irene White Damrell. Ronald spent many years as a landscape designer for the City of Monroe, North Carolina, a role that reflected his creative spirit.

Those who knew Ronald will remember his kindness, and the deep love he had for his family. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of four years, Vicki Lynn Demell; his three daughters, Erin Martin and her partner Kim Hegler, Kelly Demrell, and Sheri Susan Lay and her husband Nick; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; his brother, Jeff Demrell; and two nephews.

A memorial service celebrating Ronald’s life will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church in Lancaster, South Carolina, with Dr. Jessie Adams officiating. Family and friends are invited to greet one another and share memories following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, 133 South Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
