Roger Dale Deese

A memorial service for Roger Dale Deese, 58 of Jefferson, will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Monday, August 12, 2019, in Baker Funeral Home Chapel, Kershaw.

Mr. Deese passed away, Thursday evening, August 8, at his home. Born in Monroe, N.C., he was a son of Katheryn Greene Deese Madden and the late Jesse Clifton Deese, Jr. Mr. Deese was a former textile employee and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Jefferson. He loved riding four wheelers, watching football and NASCAR.

Surviving are his wife, Eunice Carolyn Deese, whom he married in 1985; his children, Brian (Amy) Sims, Timmy (Mandy) Sims, Lynn (Chad) Reeves; 11 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Danny Ray (Mary) Deese, Jeffrey (Brenda ) Deese and Scottie (Amy) Deese. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Nathan Deese and Jeremy Deese and a brother, Barry Madden.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
