Robert Henry Rainey

A graveside service for Col. Robert H. Rainey, 75, of Kershaw, SC will be held at 1:00 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2018, in Greenlawn Cemetery, Great Falls.

Col. Rainey died Friday, March 16, at his home. Born in Franklin, VA, he was a son of the late William and Louise Powell Rainey. He was an auctioneer and a United States Army veteran. He loved helping others and children.

Surviving are his wife, Lucy Whitley Rainey of the home; 3 sons, Raleigh (Kristy) Rainey, Robert (Bridgette) Rainey, Jr.,Tony Peterson and a daughter, Denise Shelton; 6 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; 13 great grandchildren and 3 brothers, Edward, Jimbo and Jack Rainey all of VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Rainey.
The family will receive friends, Monday, March 19, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00 o’clock p.m. at Baker Funeral Home and other times at the home.
