Rebecca B. White

Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Broughton White, 63, of Lancaster, South Carolina, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 24, 2026, at Atrium Health Union in Monroe, North Carolina.

Becky leaves behind many who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her husband, Johnny White; her daughters, Jessica Foody and her husband Joseph Foody, along with their daughters, Sydney and Autum, and Emmie Izzard and her husband Tasike Izzard, along with their children, Jermaine, Johnathan, Lyric, and Heaven. She also leaves behind her beloved brothers, Robbie Peach, and Mike Broughton and his wife Cheryl. Becky’s faithful companions, her dogs Sassy and Gizmo, who she loved like her own children, will also miss her dearly. Becky had a way of making people feel welcome, and the love she gave to her family, friends, and even her pets was something truly special.

She will now be reunited in Heaven with those she loved who passed before her, including her mother, Claudia Taylor Broughton, her sister, Wanda Williams, her brothers, Danny Peach and Byron Peach, and her cherished granddaughter, Jadan Coats, who held an especially special place in her heart. Though her family here grieves her loss, there is comfort in knowing she is now at peace and whole again, welcomed into Heaven by the ones she missed so much. We can only imagine the joy of that reunion, as she is once again surrounded by familiar faces, open arms, and the love that never left her heart.

Becky was born in Lancaster, South Carolina, and lived life with a true free spirit. She spent time living in different places throughout her life before eventually settling back in Lancaster, the place she always considered home. She spent many years working in retail management, where her strong work ethic and outgoing personality made her well known to many people in the community. Becky had a big personality and never met a stranger. She could start a conversation with anyone — and could just as easily keep it going — always ready to share a story, talk about life, and make people laugh. She enjoyed being around others, loved talking, and had a way of making every conversation her own. Her confidence, sense of humor, and outspoken nature were part of what made her unforgettable to those who knew her.

More than anything, Becky was a hard worker who loved her family deeply. She cared strongly for the people in her life and, in her own way, always wanted those around her to feel supported and connected. Her strength, her spirit, and the memories she leaves behind will live on in everyone who knew her.

A service to celebrate and remember her life will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 2:00 o’clock p.m. in the sanctuary of Liberty Freewill Baptist church, 3026 Camp Creek Road, Lancaster, S.C. 29720

The family will greet friends prior to the service on Thursday beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. also in the church sanctuary. Pastor Tim Larrimore will officiate.
