Peggy Broome Donahue Phillips, age 88, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and formerly of Kershaw, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, May 2, 2026, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
Born in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie H. Broome and Virginia Hinson Broome. Mrs. Phillips was a gifted seamstress who devoted many years to her craft, including her work with C.B.’s Limited in Lancaster. She found great joy in sewing and creating handmade crafts, and her love for gospel music was evident in the many hours she spent listening to and singing along with her favorite hymns.
Above all, she treasured time spent with her family, especially the special bond she shared with her great-grandson, who brought her immense joy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Scott Phillips; her daughter, Gail Brown; her great-granddaughter, Amelia Warren and her siblings.
She is survived by her loving granddaughter, Melissa Warren (Jason); her cherished great-grandson, Brinx Warren; and her daughter, Debra Boyd.
A private service will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, 2275 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
Arrangements are under the care of Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, South Carolina.
