Pauline Eubanks Mangum, age 88, of Kershaw, S.C. passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia, S.C. Born in the Timrod community of Kershaw County, S.C. She was a daughter of the late Cleo Eubanks and Edna Catoe Eubanks. She was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Mrs. Mangum could best be described as humble and caring. She was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever and whenever she could. She was strong in her faith and witnessed to others.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer M. (Derrick) Guyton, Betsy (John) Watkins, Thomas Ray (Betty) Demby, Jr., Donnie Neil (Morgan) Demby, William Gregory (Mary) Demby, Amanda Gail Demby and Lynn (Chad) Reeves; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; her sister, Myrtis E. Newman and her brother, John Eubanks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Neil Mangum; her children, Audie Mangum, Sheila Gail Sansbury and Barbara Cheryl Phillips; 2 sisters, Grace M. Gainey, and Judy E. Roach and 2 grandsons, Jeremy Andrew Deese and Nathan Deese.
The family will receive friends, Thursday afternoon, May 2, 2024, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024, following the visitation in the church sanctuary. Rev. Terry Corder will officiate. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Mangum may be made to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 2140 McBee Highway, Jefferson, S.C. 2971.
