Patricia Sue "Patty" Arant

Patricia Sue “Patty” Arant, age 71, of Kershaw, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at her home. Born in Monroe, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow W. Arant and Gladys Greene Arant.

Patty was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and was a devoted caregiver to her late mother for many years. She enjoyed working in her yard and cherished trips to the beach with her family. An active member of Charlesboro Baptist Church, Patty dearly loved her church family and her community.

She is survived by her brother, Charles Arant (Irene); her sisters-in-law, Jo Arant and Linda Arant; and her nieces and nephews, Pam Sims, Tim Arant, Tony Arant (Melodie), Stephen Rollings, Kyle Arant, Mark Newton (Kay), Sharon Lowery (Mike), Michelle Humphries (Rick), Melinda Hyatt (Mike), and Becky Arant, along with many great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny Arant, Jerry Arant (Glenda), and Frank Arant; her sister, Margie Rollings (Lawrence); and her nephews, Jamie Arant and Cory Arant.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Patty Arant will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Charlesboro Baptist Church in Kershaw, South Carolina, with Rev. Charles McAteer officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends immediately following the burial in the church Fellowship Hall.
