Obituary for Patricia "Pat" J. Phillips
Patricia “Pat” J. Phillips, 78, of Kershaw, died Friday, December 6, 2019 at her home. Born on July 15, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Clarence E. Jackson, Sr. and Matie Lee Jackson. She loved music, putting together puzzles, loved her family and most of all, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mrs. Phillips was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Claude C. Phillips; children, Joel “Joey” Phillips, Claudette P. Roberts (Brian) and Gina M. Phillips; grandchildren, Brandy (Archer), Lyndsay (Thomas), Philip, Eric, Dakota, Dalton, Hailey, Hannah and Ali; great grandchildren, Hayden, Sadie Claire, Bentlee and Harper. She is also survived by her sisters, Mildred Jackson Brown and Eleanor Jackson Wyrick. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Joel Patrick Phillips Jr.; siblings, Leroy Jackson, Clarence Jackson, Jr., Lynwood “Buddy” Jackson, William “Billy” Jackson, Virginia Jackson Davis and Marie Jackson Lawson.
The funeral service for Mrs. Phillips will be held 2 p.m. Monday, December 9th at Laurel Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3 until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
