Nancy W. Greene

Nancy Watson Greene, age 84, of Heath Springs, South Carolina, and formerly of Rockingham, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday morning, June 28, 2026.

Born in Rockingham, North Carolina, Nancy was the daughter of the late Guy Watson and Gertrude Campbell Watson. She devoted many years to the textile industry before retiring. Nancy found great joy in the simple blessings of life. She loved attending church, lifting her voice in song, preparing meals for those she loved, and shopping. Above all, she cherished every moment spent with her family, whose love and companionship were among her greatest treasures. She was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church in Lancaster, South Carolina.

Nancy leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughter, Amy G. Baker and her husband, Mark, of Heath Springs, South Carolina; her son, Gary P. Greene and his wife, Sue, of Rockingham, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Brooke Hatley of Heath Springs, South Carolina, Vanna Lee of Hamlet, North Carolina, Emily (Norman) Harris of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Lacy (Greg) Downs of Grovetown, Georgia; and six great-grandchildren, Ian Jenisek, Charlie Hatley, Joel Baker, Liam Lee, Finn Lee, and Norman Harris, Jr.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Brandon Baker; her brother, Glenn Watson; and her sisters, Allena Gattis and Grace Withers.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 210 East Hilton Street, Kershaw, South Carolina 29067.

A private family burial will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Heath Springs, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heart of Hospice, 901 West Meeting Street, Suite 104, Lancaster, South Carolina 29720.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to everyone for their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
