Nancy Todd Cook, 95 of Fort Mill, South Carolina formerly of Lancaster, South Carolina passed away, Thursday afternoon, December 25, 2025, at Somerby Baxter Village, Fort Mill, South Carolina. She was born on April 4, 1930, in Simpsonville, South Carolina to the late John William Todd and Ruby Armstrong Todd. Mrs. Cook received her B.A. from Columbia College and had a teaching career for 30 years. She was of Baptist faith. Mrs. Cook will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was married to the late Dexter Lee Cook, Sr.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Dexter Lee Cook, Jr. (Ginger) of Fort Mill, South Carolina; her daughter, Tina Cook (Alan Chasteen) of LaFayette, Louisiana; 2 grandsons, Dexter Lee “Trey” Cook, III (Jennifer) and Andy Cook; 2 great grandsons, Dexter Lee “Dex” Cook, IV and Harrison Edward Cook.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death her sister, Betty Todd Richardson.
A graveside service to remember and honor her life will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Kershaw City Cemetery, 190 Kirkland Avenue, Kershaw, South Carolina. The burial will follow in the cemetery.
The family will greet friends following the graveside service on the cemetery grounds.
Memorial remembrances in memory of Mrs. Cook may be made to Columbia College Loyalty Fund, 1301 Columbia College Drive, Columbia, South Carolina 29203.
