Mrs. Mina Ann Morgan Gonzales passed away peacefully Thursday, August 14, at the Village of Summerville, surrounded by family. She was born in Lancaster, S.C. on July 13, 1938, to the late Thomas Nolan Morgan, Senior and Fanny Lee Horton. She married Juan Pablo Gonzales on October 8, 1963, in Conway, S.C. Mrs. Gonzales was a long-time employee of Lancaster Stationary, and the Lancaster County Library.
She is survived by a sister, Bonnie Phillips and her husband Edward ‘Snooky’ Phillips of Kershaw, SC; a son, Juan Carlos Gonzales and his wife Mary Beth Gonzales of Summerville, S.C.; a daughter, Lisa Gonzales King and her husband Mark King of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; a grandson, Juan Pablo Gonzales his wife Dr. Virginia Gonzales of Anne Arbor, MI; and granddaughters, Morgan Amelia Gonzales of Athens, GA, and Emma Elizabeth Gonzales of Mount Pleasant, S.C. She is also survived by nieces, Angela Neal, Melinda Williams, Caroline Morgan, and a nephew, Thomas Nolan Morgan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Nolan Morgan, Junior and John Michael Morgan.
The family will receive friends at the Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw, S.C., from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Graveside services for Mrs. Gonzales, 87, of Summerville, S.C. and formerly of Lancaster, S.C. will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in the Kershaw City Cemetery, Kershaw, S.C. Rev. Kendall Healy will officiate the service.
