Martha Ann Hyatt Williams, age 88, of Kershaw, S.C. passed away Tuesday evening, June 10, 2025, in Lancaster Health and Rehabilitation, Lancaster, S.C. Born in Fort Lawn, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Edward Barnett Hyatt and Eula Carroll Hyatt. Mrs. Williams was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with Mission Friends and working in the nursery at the church. She also enjoyed gardening, tending her flowers and making crafts. She cherished the time she spent working alongside her daughters at Williams Financial Services and Joe Williams Insurance.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Walter “Joe” Williams, Jr. in 2015; her son, Joey W. Williams in 1988; her grandson, Justin H. Brewer in 2010, her sister, Mary Ellen White and her brothers-in-law, Tommy E. White, Robert Lee Smith and Rev. Carroll Arant.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory 2 daughters, Wanda W. Gardner and her husband Dean and Angie W. Brewer all of Kershaw, S.C.; 4 grandchildren, Drew Gardner and his wife, Chelsea of Kershaw, S.C., Devin J. Gardner and his wife, Erin of Lancaster, S.C., Parker G. Brewer and his wife, Gabby and Raegen J. Brewer and her fiancé, Dylan Joyner all of Kershaw, S.C.; 3 great grandchildren, Karsyn, Holden and Blake Gardner; her brother, Eddie Hyatt and his wife, Beth of Fort Lawn, S.C.; 3 sisters, Jean Smith of Chester, S.C., Carolyn Arant of Lancaster, S.C. and Sara Daniel and her husband, Terry of Chester, S.C.

A private family graveside service will be held Friday, June 13, 2025, in Kershaw Cemetery. The burial will follow in the cemetery.

The family will greet friends, FRIDAY, JUNE 13, 2025, FROM 12:00 NOON to 1:00 P.M. in the SANCTUARY OF FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, 210 NORTH MATSON STREET, KERSHAW, S.C.

Remembrances in her memory may be made to the Joey W. Williams and Justin H. Brewer Memorial Scholarship Fund, 704 Kershaw Country Club Road, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lancaster Health and Rehabilitation for the love and care shown to Mrs. Williams over the last 5 years.
