Marguerite Hunter Neal died on Saturday, June 8, 2013 in Springs Memorial Hospital. A daughter of the late John E. Hunter and Floride Cauthen Hunter, she was the widow of Woodrow Neal of Kershaw, South Carolina. She was a member of the Kershaw First Baptist Church, the Deborah Sunday School Class, and a former member of Kershaw’s Senior Citizens group. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Neal was preceded in death by her stepmother, Julia Hendrix Hunter; sister, Leila Bost, Bobbie Boney, Sara Troublefield, Betty Brasington, and a step-sister, Mary Emma Beckham; and a brother, Clarence Hunter. Mrs. Neal is survived by her son Charles Neal and wife Joanne of Lancaster; a daughter, Reba Wilkins of Greenville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Wade Hunter and wife Doris of Kershaw; two step-brothers, Walter Hendrix of Virginia, and Dr. Grady Hendrix of Charleston, S.C. Graveside services will be held at Kershaw City Cemetery on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests any memorials to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 67, Kershaw, S.C. 29067 or to a charity of one’s choice.
