L. Finley Faile

Lemuel Finley Faile, age 91, of Kershaw, S.C. passed away, Wednesday evening, May 28, 2025, at his son’s home. Born in the Taxahaw community of Lancaster County, S.C. he was a son of the late Curtis Columbus Faile and Hattie Watts Faile. Mr. Faile retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Taxahaw Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and hunting.

He is survived by his son, Roger Faile and his wife, Angie of Kershaw, S.C.; 3 grandchildren, Kurt Faile, Matthew (Summer) Faile and Rhett Hunter; 2 great grandchildren, Finn Hunter and Myles Faile and his sister-in-law, Judy R. Faile. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Williams Faile, his daughter, Sandy Hunter and his brother, Curtis Faile, Jr.

The family will gather on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. for a visitation in the Taxahaw Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

A funeral service to remember the life of Mr. Faile will be on Sunday at 3:00 P.M. in the Taxahaw Baptist Church sanctuary. The Revs. Dale Walters and Thomas Stahl will officiate.

The burial will follow in the Taxahaw Baptist Church Cemetery formerly Massey Cemetery.
