Kenneth Dan McKittrick, Sr., born in Laurens, South Carolina, entered the presence of the Lord on Sunday morning, April 13, 2025, at the age of 88.

A steadfast Baptist throughout his life, Dan dedicated his life to the Lord at a young age at Bellview Baptist Church and served as a deacon at Blaney Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Clinton High School. He also served as a Mason and a Shriner and was a veteran of the National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Strickland McKittrick; his parents, Kenneth Workman McKittrick and Inez Wingo McKittrick; his brother, James Clifford McKittrick and his grandson, Mason McKittrick.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory are his sons; Danny (Kendra) McKittrick, Asa (Angie) McKittrick, David (Angie) McKittrick and Andy McKittrick. He also leaves behind his brother, Jack (Carolyn) McKittrick; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dan will be remembered for his deep devotion to his family, his enduring faith, and his years dedicated service in the timber industry. His life touched many, and his memory will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.

The family will hold a memorial service to celebrate his life, Saturday morning, April 19, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Bellview Baptist Church, 757 Bellview Church Road, Laurens, S.C. 29360. Rev. Michael Owens will officiate the service.

The family will speak with friends briefly following the service at the church.

A private family burial will be held in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bellview Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Mr. McKittrick.
