Joseph Bryant "Joe" Ingram

Joseph Bryant “Joe” Ingram, 84, of Kershaw, South Carolina, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.

Born to the late James and Louise Knight Ingram, Joe was a devoted husband, stepfather, uncle, and friend who will be remembered for his kind heart, easygoing nature, and love for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donald Ingram; and his sister, Betty Brown and her husband, Junior Brown, all of Lancaster.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Knight Hilton Ingram of Kershaw; stepsons, Ernest Martin “Marty” Hilton of Kershaw and Eric Hilton (Stacy) of Richmond, Virginia; stepdaughter, Annette Larsen (Scott) of Pelzer, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Anne Ingram; and a host of step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Joe retired from Springs Industries in Lancaster after many years of dedicated service. He attended Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Jefferson, South Carolina.

In his free time, Joe enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers, and shopping for vehicles. He also loved watching Westerns on television.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Karesh at Beechwood in Camden, South Carolina, where Joe had been a resident since 2021, for the care and kindness they provided.

A celebration of life service will be held at Baker Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Roger Brown, Joe’s nephew and pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Rev. Terry Corder, pastor of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, and Mr. Floyd Helms, family friend officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.

A private family burial will take place at Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Lancaster, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baker Funeral Home, 210 East Hilton Street, Kershaw, S.C. 29067 or Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 2140 McBee Highway, Jefferson, S.C. 29718.

Joe will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
