John Carl Bryson, Jr.

John Carl Jake Bryson, Jr., 66, died Sunday, April 26, 2009. Born in Sylva, North Carolina, he was the son of the late John Carl, Sr. and Alma Thompson Bryson. He was retired from Sonoco Products Co. having worked in the research and development department. Mr. Bryson was a US Navy veteran.

A gathering of friends and family to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2009, from 2 :00 to 3:30 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw.

Surviving are a daughter; Dana B. Cobb of Lugoff, a son; John E. Buck Bryson of Bethune, a grandson; Deacon Cobb of Lugoff, three sisters; Pauline Joyner of Bethune, Novia Thomas of Bethune, Juanita Chandler of Lexington, S.C., two brothers; Tommy Bryson of Columbia, and Jimmy Bryson of Manning. He was predeceased by a sister Goldie Jones.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Mr. Bryson.
