Jimmy Phillips, 74, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Saturday, June 19, 2021, at his home. Born in Camden, S.C., he was as son of the late Julius R. Phillips and Mae Snipes Phillips. Mr. Phillips was a retired truck driver and a member of Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church. He also loved to fish and the outdoors.
Surviving is his wife Gladys Ann Neal Phillips; 5 children, Missy Tooley and her husband, Dennis, Jamie Phillips and his wife, Amanda, Stacey Phillips, Angie Hilton and her husband, Billy, and Douglas Adams; 11 grandchildren, Matthew (Heather) White, Aaron Phillips, Bailey Wilson, Genna Turer, Matthew McCain, Makayla Phillips, J.B. Phillips, Ariel Small, Christina (Tyler) Langley, Josi-Rayne Hilton, Royce Hilton; 10 great grandchildren, Taryn Guzewicz, Taylynn Langley, Christian Langley, Camryn Langley, Allen Hilton, Bradley Williams, Lilly Williams, Noah Small, Hunter Mosley and Ella Phillips; 3 sisters, Peggy Catoe and her husband, Earl, Tricia Schakett and Clara Sowell; 1 brother, Wayne Phillips and his wife, Judy; a sister-in-law, Sandy Phillips and a son-in-law, Hazel “Woody” McCain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Phillips McCain; a grandson, Mitchell Hilton and a brother, Richard Phillips.
The family will receive friends, Tuesday afternoon, June 22, 20021, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, prior to the service.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday afternoon, June 22, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. The Rev. Adam Wright and Preacher Cotton Pate will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery.
