Janice Katherine Taylor Elder

Janice Katherine Taylor Elder, age 72, of Granite Falls, North Carolina, and formerly of Kershaw, South Carolina, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, January 22, 2026, at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, North Carolina. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to the late James Daniel Taylor and Laura Jane Helms Taylor.

Janice was a true free spirit who lived life by her own rules and embraced each day in her own unique way. She had a kind heart and a strong personality, and those who knew her were drawn to her spirit. She loved her family and friends deeply and valued the bonds she shared with them.

She is survived by her son, Josh Elder, and his wife, Anna, of Kershaw, South Carolina; and her beloved granddaughter, Rylee, who brought her great joy.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal services will be held.
