James "Jimmy" Catoe

James Cecil “Jimmy” Catoe, Jr. affectionately known as (Jomers) passed away Friday morning, November 28, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center, Lexington, S.C. Born in Camden, S.C. he was the eldest son of James Cecil Catoe and Sara Byrd Catoe. Jimmy was a graduate of Kershaw High School and finished his education graduating from Clemson College where he was a star football player. Jimmy worked alongside his brother at C & C tire for 34 years. He was an avid Clemson Football fan. He also loved to work in his garden and loved his dogs. Jimmy was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by 3 brothers, Dan Catoe and his wife, Myra, Dennis Catoe and his wife, Janet and Kim Catoe and his sister-in-law, Delores Catoe. In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his brother, Mark Catoe and his special friend of 43 years, Hazel McLemore.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 1:00 o’clock p.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Reverend Michael Owens will officiate. A private inurnment will be held in Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will greet friends immediately following the memorial service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
