Ida Catoe Wright

Funeral services for Ida Catoe Wright, 84 of Kershaw, will be held at 11:00 o’clock a.m., Monday, February 25, 2019 in the sanctuary of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Michael Owens will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Ms. Wright died Thursday, February 21, at Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Kershaw, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin V. Presley and Minnie Morgan Adams. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

Surviving are 4 children, Vera Young, Margaret Catoe, Minnie Sue Nettles and Douglas (Marlene) Catoe; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; 3 step children and 10 half brothers and sisters. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Peggy Catoe, Elaine Cassidy and a son, Everette Catoe.

The family will receive friends following the burial in the church Family Life Center and other times at Vera Young’s home.
