Herbert Leslie Hornsby, Jr.

Herbert Leslie Hornsby, Jr., 78, Westville, S.C., passed away, Saturday, January 22, 2022. Born in Camden, S.C., he was a son of the late Herbert Leslie Hornsby, Sr. and Hattie Mae Stevens Hornsby. Mr. Hornsby was a welder and a member of DeKalb Baptist Church, Camden, S.C. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Payne Hornsby; 3 daughters, Wanda (Ricky) Bowers, Vicki (Kenny) Bowers and Pam Dove; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Gary (Jeanette) Hornsby and 2 sisters, Doris Beck and Linda (Robin) Mackey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Don Dove and a brother, Tom Hornsby.

A private service will be held.
