Henry Lawson "Butch" Cranford

Henry Lawson “Butch” Cranford, age 77, of West Columbia, S.C., passed away, Thursday morning, July 31, 2025, at his home. Born in Bethune, S.C., he was the son of the late William Franklin Cranford and Annie Lou Anderson Cranford. He was a member of New Life Church, Columbia, S.C. He enjoyed attending church and traveling.

He is survived by his daughter, Allison Mooneyham of Kershaw, S.C., his son, Mitchell Cranford of West Columbia, S.C.; 4 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Watford; 2 grandchildren; 6 sisters, Edna, Estelle, Juanita, Myrtis, Mary Sue and Frances and 2 brothers, Pete and Herman.

The family will receive friends on Saturday morning, August 2, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton Street, Kershaw, S.C. 29067

The funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home on Saturday. Pastor John Hamilton will officiate.

The burial will follow in Laurel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 205 Little Dude Ave., Kershaw, S.C. 29067

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Life Baptist Church, 2825 Ashland Road, Columbia S.C. 29210.
