Geraldine Newman Davis

Glenda Geraldine Newman Davis, age 86, of Bethune, S.C. passed away peacefully at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, Hartsville, S.C. on September 10, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Kershaw County, S.C. to the late James Elmer Newman and Evelyn Eubanks Newman. Ms. Davis was a graduate of Bethune High School and a member of Bethune Baptist Church. She was employed with the Kendall Company as a lab technician with 42 years of service.

She was a very loving and kind lady. She loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

Ms. Davis is survived by her son Stacy and his wife, Charity of McBee, S.C.; 2 grandchildren, Kaitlin Collins and her husband, Donald of Conway, S.C. and Tanner Davis and his wife, Amber of Lugoff, S.C. and the light of her life, her great grandson, Waylon Davis. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Rhea N. Knight and her husband Jackie and Lawann McCoy all of Bethune, S.C. and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hope Norris and 3 brothers, Elton Newman, Paschal Newman and Milledge Newman.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11:00 o’clock a.m. in Brannon Cemetery, Bethune, S.C. The Rev. Jackie Knight and Mr. Wilford Griggs will officiate. The burial will follow in the cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Stacy and Charity Davis's home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to Bethune Baptist Church, Post Office Box 326, Bethune, S.C. 29009 or the charity of ones’ choice.
