Funeral services for Eunice Sullivan Mangum, 84 of Bethune, will be held at 3:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, July 11, in the sanctuary of Timrod Baptist Church. The Revs. Jeremy Ussery and Tim Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Mangum, loving wife of the late Melvin Earl Mangum passed away peacefully, Saturday evening, July 6. Born in Bethune, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Sullivan and Harriett Horton Sullivan. She was a former nurse with Sandhills Medical Foundation. Mrs. Mangum was a faithful member of Timrod Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, reading and traveling.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Charlene M. Kelley and her husband Buddy of Greenville, TN, Christy M. Brock and her husband Tyler of Hendersonville, NC; a daughter-in-law, Babbie Mangum of Charleston, SC; 8 grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Bair and her husband Larry of Lugoff, SC and 2 brothers, Odell Sullivan and his wife Betty Ann of Kershaw and Richard Sullivan and his wife Christine of Gasport, England. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dwayne Mangum; a grandson; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

The family will receive friends immediately following the burial in the church Family Life Center.

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Mangum may be made to Timrod Baptist Church, 4227 Timrod Road, Bethune, S.C. 29009 or Mountain View Assisted Living – Alzheimer’s Memory Care Unit, 260 Centerway Drive, Hendersonville, N.C. 28792.
