Donald Glenn "Don" Cross

Donald Glenn Cross, 74, of Denver, North Carolina, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 1, 2026, at Novant Health in Huntersville, North Carolina.

Born April 6, 1951, in Detroit, he was the son of the late Horace Cross and Evelyn Charbeneau Cross. Donald worked for many years as a salesman in the environmental industry. A true outdoors man at heart, he found great joy in fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Smith and her husband, Zack; his beloved granddaughters, Brynly and Vivian Smith; and his sister, Rose Emig. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Allen Cross, on April 6, 2020, and by his sister, Sharon Lieavoli.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, North Carolina.

A service honoring and celebrating Donald’s life, as well as the life of his son Bryan, will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society – North Carolina Chapter, P.O. Box 11796, Charlotte, North Carolina 28220. Floral tributes are also welcome.
