Danny Joseph Estridge, age 67, of Kershaw, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, April 27, 2026. Born in Camden, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Joseph William “Joe” Estridge, Jr. and Almetta Hunter Estridge.
Danny was a proud graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and dedicated more than 45 years of faithful service to Standard Warehouse and Kenco Logistics before his retirement. His strong work ethic, attention to detail, and quiet humility earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew and worked alongside him.
A man of simple joys and deep devotion, Danny brought laughter and light wherever he went. He was an avid fan of Clemson athletics and the Dallas Cowboys, rarely missing a chance to cheer on his favorite teams. He found great happiness at the beach, where he especially enjoyed searching for sharks’ teeth. Some of his most treasured moments were spent playing rounds of disc golf with his wife, son, and nephew—times filled with friendly competition and lasting memories.
Above all, Danny loved his family wholeheartedly. His greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren, who were the center of his world. He also held a special place in his heart for his beloved four-legged companions, Jed and Prissie.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carla Ford Estridge; his children, Chris Estridge of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Justin Harris (Adrienne) of Camden, South Carolina, Brandon Harris (Trey) of Camden, South Carolina, and Jenna Blackburn (Matt) of Lancaster, South Carolina. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth and Emily Estridge of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; Chase, Maddie, and Bryce Blackburn of Lancaster, South Carolina; and Sadie Harris of Camden, South Carolina. Danny is further survived by his brother, Larry Estridge (Cecilia) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; his sisters, Kaye Estridge of Lancaster, South Carolina and Pat Jenkins of Lancaster, South Carolina; his mother-in-law, Clara Ford of Lugoff, South Carolina and nephews, Gregory Jenkins (Megan) of Lancaster, South Carolina and Zach Estridge (Danielle) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of MUSC Health Oncology and South Carolina Oncology, especially Dr. Sarah Mushtag and Dr. Edward Duffy, as well as his MUSC Health Primary Care physicians, Dr. Robin Fuchs and Dr. Gordon Pennebaker, for their exceptional care and support during his illness.
