Cynthia Rosa Lawhorn

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Cynthia Rosa Lawhorn who passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, at her home. Born in Lancaster, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Danuiel Hilton and Joan Lynn Horton Hilton. Cynthia loved going to movies, flying a kite, and traveling to the beach.

A gathering to celebrate Cynthia’s life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at her residence, 4662 Bethune Road, Kershaw, S.C. The Rev. Todd Gandy will officiate. The burial will be private.

She is survived by a son, Robert Danuiel Pugh; her granddaughter, Areial Pugh; her grandson, Trent Pugh; fiancée, Michael “Nut” Outen; her fur babies, Sally Mae and Willie Nelson; her sisters, Cherri Tyner (Sim), Christy Brackett, Kellie McNichols, Angela Talbert (Clancy), Bug Talbert, Lloyd Hilton, Jr.; her fiancée’s sister, Phoebe (Bill) Coates and brother Lon (Donna) Outen and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Charatta Gray and 2 brothers in law, Steve and Shawn.

The family would like to thank her Agape Hospice caregivers, Latoya, Andrea, and Christy, for their kind and compassionate care.

The family will receive friends following the service.
